Conceptualization as a Superpower
For a little more than a decade, taught a number of “corporate education” courses with the intention of helping to raise the floor of internal teams as it related to content management and data analytics. One of the more surprising bits of information learned across the years of doing this was a widespread inability to distinguish outputs from outcomes. Some would attend the sessions hoping to “get out of it” a shape of understanding an application for a specific output. Continue reading →

Thought: Incompatible with Current Working Behaviors
One of the threads connecting our research with sales/opportunities is a framework where this work is based on a different approach to screens and input than most are accustomed. Utilizing a mobile and tablet for the better part of 15 -20 years as a primary computer is something of an alternate reality from the “we just discovered smartphones when Apple did it” contingent. Shoot, when the iPhone was introduced, was using Nokia’s N800 Internet Tablet as a primary device while reporting from an event demoing other upcoming devices. Continue reading →

Had a thought this week. A potential tweak to this initiative: What if your vision had a concierge? Some kind of guide to the future you envision - but they aren’t taking you there. They are merely informed-enough of the possibilities and then you could “rub the bottle” for that insight to be specificly manifested to you? Chewing Continue reading →

Is There A Difference Now for Social Computing Devices
Context: Sitting in the usual cafe-office, looking at the devices on the table and recalling a friend’s mention about new wallpaper on their mobiles…sharing wallpapers is such a social thing. If this were the “social computing” setup, I wonder what the “sharing wallpaper” moments would be? In the rise of wearable devices, capability is often touted as being the prime factor for usage. But, that isn’t often the case. There are behaviors - sometimes new or novel - which endear themselves to the adoption and use of those devices which makes or breaks their use. Continue reading →

Read the Terms of Service
Was introduced to a new-to-me web service the other day. As with many, it was “Al” related. So I did my usual… I went to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to see what is going on behind the marketing. In this case, the TOS was not all that… good. So, took at look at the developer’s site and any TOS/privacy policy notes there. This was better. But also concerning. Continue reading →

Am not even sure most are paying attention… can we get away with saying anything? With releasing anything? With restricting… what is actually being attended to? Need to check out the terms of service for the days and times. There’s something afoot. Also published: How Avanceé is Using AI/ML Today Continue reading →

How is Avanceé Using AI/ML Today
The straightforward answer is there isn’t a daily use case which is centered around “productivity.” There are the near-invisible cases such as memo-writing based off of feedback from items which come to mind or recent conversations, but these don’t move the needle to what many have talked about using AI/ML for. Well, not for some of is desired for transformers to accomplish. There are some edge uses such as when looking to do comparisons or code changes/enhancements; where previously would go to several sites and piece things together. Continue reading →
